Team Manager - Parks (Grounds Maintenance)
Big Ant Recruitment are working in Partnership with SWISCo. Ready to lead the charge on our road to greatness? We've got a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Team Manager to join the Parks (Grounds Maintenance) Team. If you're passionate about health and safety, teamwork, and creating an environment where people thrive, we want to hear from you!
The Role:
As Team Manager, you'll play a key role in making sure your team is happy, productive, and well-managed. You'll oversee recruitment, probation reviews, performance management, and ensure the wellbeing of your team is front and centre. On top of that, you'll keep the wheels turning smoothly with accurate management of holidays, sickness, and other employee information. Management experience in this industry is a must have.
We're big on fostering a positive, “can-do” attitude, and you'll be integral in driving this culture forward. You'll help SWISCo grow and develop, ensuring we not only hit our targets but do so innovatively and profitably.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Collaborating with managers and teams to ensure smooth communication across all levels and departments.
* Supervising staff, organising schedules, and ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
* Maintaining top-notch health and safety standards through adequate training and advice.
* Motivating and leading teams, identifying training needs, and setting clear, achievable goals.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone with:
* Strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft 365 and bespoke software.
* Analytical skills to solve problems, challenge the status quo, and find cost-effective solutions.
* A solid understanding of leadership qualities and how to manage resources for success.
* In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and people management practices.
Your Experience:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Familiarity with working in time-critical environments and hitting performance targets.
* A track record of building trust with staff, clients, and the public.
Qualifications:
* Educated to A Level or equivalent, or significant relevant experience.
* Professional qualification at a minimum of Level 4 NVQ/HND in this field is a must have
* A full driving licence.
