SEN One-to-One Teaching Assistant

Join a vibrant primary school in the Pontefract area, as Reed Education is looking for a compassionate and committed SEN One-to-One Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a child with special educational needs (SEN). This role is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on a child's educational journey in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide one-to-one support to a child with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
• Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP's) and help the child access the curriculum.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages the child's social and academic growth.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and progress of the child.
• Monitor and document the child's progress, providing detailed feedback to the SENCO and other relevant staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to student support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential.
