Overall purpose of role To:

• Prepare estimates for specified responses to PQQs, ITTs, pitches and proposals in conjunction with marketing and business development manager.

• Hand over budgets to commercial / QS department for take on.

Responsibilities

• Creation, management and monitoring of budgets for tenders, pitches and proposals

• Hand over of information to commercial department and maintenance of information on Web/Project Probe.

Key tasks

• Compiling assigned compliant and competitive tenders, within deadlines.

• Pre-handover budget compiling and guided value engineering.

• Post-handover budget inputting onto Web/Project Probe.

• Ensure all assigned opportunities and tenders are tracked and chased and results noted, including conversion to next stage, or closure.

• Update subcontractor, supplier and client information on Web/Project Probe, as necessary.

• Attend estimating meetings as required.

• Attend assigned handover meetings and ensure all information is agreed and recorded.

• Continue liaison with commercial and contracts departments as required.

• Liaise with procurement, ordering and finance for pricing and costs of labour and materials.

• Liaise with materials suppliers and sub-contractors as required.

• Liaise with clients and prospects as required.

Competencies Role-specific:

• CSCS basic card.

• Programme and project management - manage production of initial programme for handover to contracts.

General IT:

• Advanced user MS Excel.

• Competent user MS Word, MS Project, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars
