We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will support students with SEN, helping them to fully engage with the curriculum and school life. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Individual Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
Classroom Assistance: Assist the classroom teacher in managing the learning environment, ensuring it is conducive to the needs of all students.
Adapted Learning Materials: Help prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the individual needs of students.
Behaviour Management: Implement behaviour support plans and use positive reinforcement to manage and improve student behaviour.
Personal Care: Provide personal care support to students as required, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, SENCO, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' care and education.
Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of students' progress, interventions, and any incidents that occur.

Qualifications and Skills:

Relevant Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Empathy and Patience: A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN and the ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Desirable:

Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field.
Knowledge of specific SEN conditions and appropriate interventions and strategies.
Experience in a mainstream school setting.September Start- 2024
