Job purpose and overview:

Helpful Investments are currently looking for a Registered Children's Home Manager to join our team in the North West and oversee the management of our 4 bed EBD service in Workington. We aim to create safe, nurturing and homely environments which enable the young people to achieve their best.

This role requires day to day operational management of the children's home, ensuring all staff work in accordance with the homes Statement of Purpose. You will need to be able to provide effective leadership and guidance to the staff team in order to deliver child centred care, whilst making sure the home follows the companies' policies and procedures, along with Ofsted compliance.

You will play a big part in the matching of young people for the home, ensuring this is done correctly and the dynamic of the home works. You will create and review care plans, risk assessments and policies in accordance with your Statement of Purpose and regulations. You will be an integral part of the development of the home, making sure staff are fully trained and supervisions are carried out regularly.

What we are looking for

· Minimum 2 years' experience working out of the past 5 years in a Children's Home or similar field.

· Level 4 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

· Level 5 Leadership and Management or working towards.

. 1 year managing and supervising care staff

· UK Driving Licence - required

· Childcare Legislation and Safeguarding Knowledge
