Job Title: Analytical Scientist - Synergy

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Salary: £35,000 - £39,000

Synergy are currently working with a client that are looking for an Analytical Scientist to join their team. The client organisation is based in Sandwich, Kent.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with previous experience of instrumental methods in a pharmaceutical environment and a hands-on approach to their own development.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Carry out all analytical activities required to deliver new respiratory and other medicinal products to clinical studies and commercialization
Execute experiments to generate scientific understanding in the development of analytical and materials science methods and during formulation development of new products.
Perform analyses related to product development, stability, and process scale up.
Process data; highlight aberrant or suspect results and work with supervisor to investigate.
Maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with the principles of data integrity and good documentation practices.
Contribute to project delivery by carrying out other tasks (e.g. laboratory housekeeping, ordering, shipping samples) as required.
Adherence to all applicable policies and procedures, including those relating to EHS, GMP, GCP, Quality and Compliance, consistent with the role

Requirements:

Relevant Bachelor of Science Degree (for example Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Forensics) or equivalent, or substantial practical work experience.
Experience with HPLC / UPLC
Able to organise tasks allocated by supervisor and plan own work to consistently achieve output of high-quality results in a timely manner, following established analytical methods and operating procedures.
Able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Familiar with basic principles of chemistry.
Good IT skills (including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
