TML Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with one of our longest standing clients, a UK wide, multi-disciplinary property practice with over £70m in turnover and 20+ offices. We are assisting them in their search for a lease advisory expert at either Partner level to aid the growth of their Birmingham based professional division. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN THIS ROLE?

Reporting into the overall head of L&T/Professional, you will be responsible for a variety of landlord and tenant instructions across the Midlands with a large focus in the Central Birmingham area where possible as they look to develop their service line. The business is incredibly busy. Should you enjoy valuation as part of your role there will also be a chance to lend a hand to valuation instructions. You will cover a variety of asset classes, but typically offices, industrial buildings/units and some retail. Clients you will be working with include banks, private and corporate clients, and professional contacts. Your main mandate will be to aid the growth of the L&T business unit which has 5 people in it. You will do this by proactively developing new business through the significant, current work load, the extensive network of the wider business and National valuation unit but also look to grow this team by staff numbers, taking on team leading responsibilities.

Responsibilities?

* Advising on rent reviews, lease renewals, lease regears, Dispute Resolution, lease advice in sale and leaseback transactions, rental valuations and third party referrals, including the preparation of submissions to both Independent Expert and Arbitrators.

* Should you want to, get involved in valuation but pure Lease Advisory role is fine.

* Proactive in business development and creating new opportunities and an ability to demonstrate a good track record in delivering Lease Advisory services as well as attending network events.

* Help build regional Lease Advisory team being the central figurehead.

* Aid the development of team and nurture grads through APC.

* Handle tenders and fee proposals for new business.

* Act on own initiative, work with autonomy as well as within the Commercial Lease Advisory and other connected service line teams.

WHAT EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED?

* MRICS/FRICS and (ideally) RICS Registered Valuer

* Proven experience across L&T matters.

* Ideally some valuation experience but this is not essential at all.

* Willingness to oversee and assist junior colleagues, some management experience ideal but not essential.

* Demonstrable communication skills, with excellent manner both in person and virtually.
