Description
Role Objective:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to produce semi-finished products, ensuring quality standards and meeting production targets in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Operation:
* Operate production machinery, such as saws and conveyors, following standard procedures to meet production goals.
* Perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
2. Maintenance:
* Conduct daily maintenance checks and report equipment performance.
3. Health & Safety:
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Report safety incidents and support safety initiatives.
4. Problem Solving & Improvement:
* Assist in resolving production issues and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
5. Collaboration:
* Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality objectives.
Key Skills:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
* Attention to detail and adherence to standard processes.
* Capable of multi-tasking and working in a team environment.
Key Requirements:
* Education:
Minimum of basic vocational qualifications or equivalent.
* Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with knowledge of production processes.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with equipment maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM).
* Familiarity with performance measurement tools like OEE.
* Ability to assist in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary: £11.66 + shift allowance
