Melksham Insurance Brokers (part of the Jensten Group) are pleased to be recruiting an Account Handler to join our existing team in Melksham.

While Jensten have recently celebrated becoming a company of 1000 employees, our Melksham office is made up of a very friendly 4 colleagues. You will be part of our Personal Lines team, offering a range of insurance products including Home, Car, Motorcycle or Travel.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to utilise and continue to develop their insurance knowledge as part of a successful Broker.

Please note that this role be based full time in our Melksham office.

Key objectives & responsibilities will include:

• Handling a range of Personal insurance policies
• Obtaining new business quotations and arranging cover - checking new policy documentation for accuracy and forwarding to clients or liaising with insurers
• Processing mid-term adjustments and quarterly declarations
• Dealing with clients’ day to day enquiries on a daily basis, responding promptly and managing expectations
• Negotiating and inviting renewal of allocated client’s policies
• Attain cross sell / up-sell on policies
• Liaising with Claims dept over claims queries / reports

About You

As an Account Handler you will have previous insurance knowledge and top client servicing skills. You will have strong diary management skills, be able to plan and organise effectively and work to deadlines.

Other skills/requirements:

• Insurance broking experience (essential)
• CII Qualifications, or desire to work towards these (not essential)
• Experience using SSP or Acturis (not essential)
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
