Buyer – Whiteley

We’re looking for a Buyer with a building services background to join our team. You will be responsible for the management of materials across our new build operations to ensure contracts are managed and completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities 

• Receive and raise orders for materials including Customer Extras as required in a timely and efficient manner according to company process and procedures.
• Follow up on missed deliveries/ items with supply chain to ensure successful completion of orders.
• Record errors made by supply chain.
• Manage order book calendar and coordinate with operational team members.
• Place orders from HBS approved Kit Lists.
• Escalate requests received to edit Kit Lists and on approval update Kit Lists.
• Update Kit Lists with latest pricing updates.
• Coordinate, communicate and manage specification changes to materials and equipment.

Requirements

• Experience as a supplier and or a contractor who has previous experience working within an M&E building services background.
• Be able to demonstrate their experience and technical knowledge of mechanical components within the built environment.
• Strong time management skills and confident ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
• In depth technical knowledge of mechanical products, parts and components
• Strong people management and communication skills, especially telephone mannerism.
• Professional focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
• Good IT skills are essential.
• Full clean driving licence.
