Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered Nurse Qualification (Mental Health Nurse)
- Valid NMC PIN
- Experience in Mental Health Care: Preferably previous experience in a low secure or similar mental health setting, with a focus on supporting patients with complex needs.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Compassionate and Patient-centred: Demonstrates a person-centred approach to care, with empathy, patience, and respect for individuals’ dignity and needs.
- Resilience and Emotional Strength: The role requires emotional resilience and a capacity to handle challenging situations in a supportive and constructive manner.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Patient Welfare: Maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and well-being at all times.
- Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Conducting in-depth physical and psychological assessments of new patients upon admission.
- Individualized Care Planning: Developing and regularly updating care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Medication Administration: Safely administering medications with accuracy and detailed documentation.
- External Collaboration: Engaging with external healthcare providers to ensure holistic and continuous care.
- Staff Oversight and Development: Supporting and guiding care staff to foster a compassionate and effective care environment.
- Effective Rota Management: Organizing and coordinating staff rotas to maintain consistent, high-quality care coverage.
- Person-centred Approach: Utilizing a patient-focused approach that respects individual privacy, dignity, and personal needs.
