Electrical Hardware Engineer - Space / Satellite / Imaging - On site in Chelmsford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Hardware Engineer anywhere from graduate level to principal. Any degree of experience is welcome to apply for this position. The work involves designing and testing cameras to evaluate and verify the functionality of their space-imaging sensors. Additionally, electrical hardware is essential for operating and managing the drive and acquisition of their high-speed imaging sensors.

Duties will include:

Designing PCBs for space applications includes selecting components, capturing schematics, conducting analyses, documenting processes, defining stack-ups, and managing external layouts.
Developing and presenting design concepts to meet internal and external specifications, while maintaining compliance verification matrices for electrical requirements.
Detailing system architecture through interface diagrams and charts to enhance lifecycle documentation and streamline development.
Preparing and presenting electrical design documentation for internal and external gate reviews, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
Leading verification and testing of electronics, producing clear, structured documentation.
Mentoring team members and adhering to high-reliability electronics standards for experienced candidates. 
Role requirements:

Proficiency in PCB design techniques is necessary for handling high-speed circuitry.
Capability to develop electronic designs that bring innovation and enhance both new and existing testing systems.
Experience in adhering to high reliability standards.
Essential skills in PCB CAD, with preference given to familiarity with CADENCE or ALTIUM.
Comprehensive knowledge of electronics and electrical interfaces.
Skill in presenting technical information and intricate electrical designs in a clear and understandable manner.
Experience with space electronics is a plus.
