Vehicle Mechanic Required to work with Cannock based local councils vehicle maintenance division.

My client requires an experienced and professional vehicle maintenance mechanic to carry out vehicle repairs, maintenance and servicing on their fleet of vans, light goods vehicles and grounds maintenance machinery.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanic to join the workshop team based in Cannock. The workshop provides a light vehicle repair and maintenance service for both the Council's internal fleet.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team to deliver an extensive programme of vehicle maintenance, repair, inspection and examination. They will work to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, DVSA requirements and internal Council policies and procedures.

About You The ideal candidate will have:

* City & Guilds level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair principles, or equivalent

* MOT Tester

* Experience of working with all aspects of light vehicle maintenance and repair

* Ability to work on own initiative and to meet strict deadlines

Pay Rate : £14.00- £14.52 per hour, Umbrella, paid weekly
