Depot/Yard Operative

£14.5 per hour increasing to £15 after 3 month probation + Early Finish on Fridays + 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays + Pension

Great opportunity for a Depot or Yard Operative to join a market leading engineering company offering career development.

This well-established company specialise in a variety of plant/construction equipment hire and are known for career development and stability as the business looks to diversify and challenge their competition. They are now looking for a Depot/Yard Operative to join the team.

In this role you will provide support to the Foreman and Depot Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the depot.

This role would suit an enthusiastic individual, who has proven experience working within plant hire. The successful applicant will benefit career stability and development.

The role:

Loading and off-loading of equipment as necessary, ensuring all equipment is checked in on return to the depot, completing the necessary paperwork for deliveries/collections, inspection of equipment, daily defect reports on forklift trucks to be completed, make deliveries to site using company vehicles, may on occasion include towing equipment to/from site
Working Hours Mon - Thurs (8am - 16:30pm), Friday 8am - 15:30pm) - 39 hours
£14.5 per hour, increasing to £15 upon successful completion of 3 month probationThe person:

Full UK driving licence held for minimum of 3 years
Forklift licence preferable (training provided if required)
Ability to Tow trailers (training provided if required)
