InstaStaff are currently recruiting for CNC Miller Programmer to join a leading engineering solutions company based in the heart of Birmingham.
This is a direct, permanent position, you will have experience in CNC milling, setting and programming. Setting and operating 3 & 5 axis machines.
The duties of the CNC Miller Programmer are:
* To Program, Set and Operate CNC machines.
* Ensuring lead times and delivery dates are met.
* To ensure quality requirements and checks, using appropriate measuring equipment are carried out as required.
* To ensure all required paperwork/labels are correctly completed and filed as necessary.
* To ensure manufacturing shop floor data collection system is updated when required.
* To carry out Preventive Maintenance on machines.
* To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the company's quality requirements.
* CNC Milling Knowledge.
* Able to use conventional machines - Centre Lathe - Turret Mill - Surface Grinder.
* Able to use CAD/ CAM
The ideal CNC Miller Programmer will have:
* MUST have 5 years' experience.
* Must have experience producing one offs from engineering drawings, be able to work in tight tolerances and inspect parts using measuring equipment.
* Must be able to use your initiative and make fixtures/jigs.
* Must have knowledge of tooling along with feeds and speeds.
* Must be self motivated and have the ability to project manage to meet deadlines.
* Must have experience setting & operating 3 & 5 axis machines, knowledge of Mazatrol, Siemens and Heidenhain controls.
* Must have experience in both online an offline programming using VISI software.
The hours of the CNC Miller Programmer:
* Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30.
* Friday 08:00 - 15:30.
