BENCH JOINER

Position: Bench Joiner

Rate: £18.00 Per Hour
Reports To: Workshop Foreman
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team due to continued growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high end bespoke joinery, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.

Job role:

* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce joinery work.

* Fabricate custom joinery products including cabinets and furniture.

* Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

* Measure and cut materials accurately to meet project requirements.

* Assemble and finish joinery products, ensuring quality standards are met.

* Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

* Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively regarding project updates and challenges.

* Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

* Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery.

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or similar role.

* Knowledge of woodworking techniques and joinery practices.

* Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and hand tools.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

* Completion of a joinery apprenticeship or equivalent experience in woodworking/joinery preferred.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift materials and equipment.

* Standing for extended periods during production
