Our client based in Deeside is currently recruiting for a Sourcing Buyer join their innovative team. Performance Objectives

* Supporting the team by following purchasing processes and procedures to support business objectives and targets.

* Developing and shaping sourcing operations in order to develop and design cost effective contracts and services aligned to costs and requirements.

* Supplier development and cost optimisation on site, together with leading negotiation and drafting contracts aligned with business requisites.

* Reporting, reviewing and negotiating competitive rates on a range of products and services within the sourcing area.

* Developing and managing sourcing processes and tools for key stakeholders within the team.

* Working within budgetary processes with Finance and Stakeholders to develop cost optimisation and quality services.

* Working with stores, engineering and other functions across the business to provide sourcing support within all areas.

* Supporting implementation and development of SAP ensuring correct procedures are followed.

* Developing strong teamwork across the business to ensure operations are working effectively in accordance with Eren Group procurement rules and aligned to contract agreements in place.

* Conduct supplier reviews to ensure contracts and services, along with costs, are relevant and competitive.

Person Specification

* Ideally CIPS qualified or working towards the qualification or equivalent experience.

* Experience within a manufacturing environment is required.

* Strong understanding of business and commercial acumen within a focused purchasing team.

* Previous experience of reducing costs whilst maintaining customer service is essential

* Confident written and verbal communication skills.

* You will be motivated, dynamic and have the ability to challenge the status quo in order to support cost analysis.

* The ability to create proposals to improve all aspects of service within a manufacturing and project environment.

* Proven ability to engage senior decision makers, whilst building and developing longterm relationships.

* Excellent problem-solving skills in order to work on a range of purchasing projects., both independently and as part of a team.

* Highly driven and proactive to develop and grow within the business.

* Ability to work with site wide teams and challenge the current processes and systems.

* Preferred experience of working with SAP, Excel, Databases, Sage and other purchasing platforms in order to create processes and initiatives to drive business performance and improvements.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

* Attention to detail and data entry skills.
