Learning Support Assistant wanted at a fantastic Special School in Brentwood CM15!

Classroom Support are currently searching for a Learning Support Assistant who is keen, energetic and, most importantly, passionate about working with children with special educational needs (SEN).

Learning Support Assistants are a vital part of the school's commitment to supporting pupils with SEN and ensuring that all barriers to a child's education are removed.

We are looking for a positive, energetic Learning Support Assistant. You must have experience working in the classroom and experience supporting children with various forms of SEN or learning difficulties such as Autism or ADHD.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside the classroom teachers and assist them in the planning and implementation of lessons designed to support pupils with various forms of SEN. You will be a key member of staff providing general support in lessons and/or 1:1 support for pupils depending on their individual planned needs.

If successful, you will begin on a long-term supply role (at least 12-14 academic weeks) with a permanent contract potentially available for excellent performance.

There is a highly competitive rate of pay which is £(Apply online only) a week for working hours of 8.30am-3.30pm.

Working days are Monday-Friday, term-time only. To start in September 2024.

Candidate Requirements

* Must have experience of working in a school in the past two years.

* Must have experience working with students with SEN.

* Must have or be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS (costs £52.20) and must be registered on the update service (£13 a year).

* Advantageous to have previous tutoring/mentoring experience.

* Advantageous to have Care-based experience.
