The role

V3 are recruiting for our client based in central Portsmouth.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development manager to generate new sales opportunities both face to face and via the telephone.
Previous experience within the construction Industry would be a big advantage.
The ideal candidate will maximise the organisation's revenue and to ensure profitability through generating new business opportunities and supporting and increasing revenues for the business.
Lead generation
·Identifying new industries to contact
·Researching businesses ahead of calling to ensure the calls are tailored to their needs
·To produce and update scripting where necessary to generate optimum results
·Identify new opportunities through referrals
Sales
·To generate new business through telephone sales activities and through to face-to-face meetings
·Forecast pipeline daily/weekly and monthly by controlling all call backs and advising wider team of opportunities in progress
·To maintain and maximise existing business potential by investigating additional areas of need for the company's services during all telephone and face to face contact with clients and candidates (upsell and referral)
·To exploit potential business opportunities always including leads and referrals and to promote the services offered by the company
Administration
·To update all relevant information when liaising with clients (updating CRM)
·Utilizing the email function to liaise and communicate with clients and prospects in a professional manner
·Feedback to wider team with any trends appearing within the database
·Complete all relevant office administration in line with company procedures
·Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to in a timely manner
General
·To keep management informed about any developments, trends or issues relating to clients and prospects
·To project a professional image in all aspects of personal presentation
·To assist with ad-hoc projects, campaigns and assignments as required
·To adhere to company policies, systems, procedures, and codes of practice
·To make recommendations to management concerning potential improvements to company procedures and standards
·To perform any other duties as required from time to time by management
Knowledge, Skills & Experience

·Proven sales experience in a professional environment,
·Solid business acumen and commercial knowledge,
·Knowledge of customer risk and how to mitigate,
·Effective presentation and interpersonal skills, to run successful meetings,
·Strong planning and organizational skills,
·Exceptional communicator with a customer focused attitude,
·Positive attitude towards change and improvements.
·knowledge of the construction industry preferred, but not essential.
·Sales through providing solution for customers,
·Full and clean driving license.

Salary £30,000 - £40,000 per annum + Commission
