What you'll be doing;
  • Assist in preparing site maintenance budget proposals and work within approved budgets.
  • Coordinate in-house maintenance team activities, delegating and prioritising work.
  • Ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and safe execution of all maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments, method statements, and Permits to Work.
  • Manage site CMMS, ensuring effective maintenance processes and asset records.
  • Assist in planning and managing maintenance outages, including annual planned outages.
  • Oversee contractors on site, ensuring proper inductions, safety compliance, and adherence to company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Veolia Management System, Health and Safety Policies, and environmental legislation.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels and produce clear, concise reports.
  • Participate in emergency response, standby rota, and deputise for the Maintenance Manager when necessary.

What we're looking for;
  • HNC-level qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline or extensive relevant experience.
  • Understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Pressure System Safety Regulations.
  • Proficiency in IT, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (advantageous).
  • Experience with steam raising and power generation technologies, preferably in Energy from Waste.
  • Significant knowledge of maintenance for various plant equipment and systems.
  • Leadership experience with multi-skilled teams (desirable).
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
