1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Full Time

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Daventry, Northamptonshire. This position involves working closely with pupils in KS1 who have Autism and ADHD - providing crucial support and guidance throughout their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to KS1 students with ASD and ADHD needs, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
Implement personalized strategies and interventions to meet the student's individual educational and behavioural goals.
Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and adapt resources and materials to support the student's learning.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting the student's engagement and participation in classroom activities.
Facilitate effective communication and social interactions between the student and their peers, promoting positive relationships and social integration.
Promote the student's independence and self-confidence, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD is desirable
A patient, understanding, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with young learners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the student and the school environment.
