Activus Recruitment are seeking a Warehouse Operative/Driver to join our clients team based in Aberdeen on a temp-perm basis.

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Business Coordinator, you will be responsible for all goods in and out of the busy warehouse as well as maintaining standards of cleanliness and ISO9001/HACCP procedures within the stock control area.
The business provides deliveries via our own local area van and via a national courier network.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accepting goods into the warehouse.
• Allocating stock to warehouse shelving whilst ensuring stock rotation and oldest stock out first.
• Accurately keeping records of inbound delivery vehicles.
• Accurately picking stock for goods out and liaising with office team to ensure carrier and local area deliveries are picked timeously.
• Safely and securely packaging carrier consignments to ensure the goods arrive in a satisfactory standard after transportation by a third party.
• Inputting carrier consignments onto web-based manifest databases.
• General housekeeping of the stock control area to ISO9001/HACCP standards and updating records accordingly.
• Assisting engineering team with movements of equipment. Accurately recording equipment inbound both for service and for stock.
• Grinding coffee beans and labelling where necessary. Packaging of sample products for customers (food safety training will be provided).
• Weighing, packaging and sealing "hand packed” retail bags of coffee.
• Providing holiday cover for the delivery driver.
• "Hot Shot” local deliveries in a branded delivery van.
• Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of our fleet of vehicles.

Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience:
While some training can be provided ideal candidates will have, or be able to demonstrate the following
• Accuracy in their work
• Ability to work autonomously
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK driving licence essential
• Computer Literacy (SAGE experience is not essential but experience of working with computers would be preferred)
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Willingness to ask colleagues for tasks if quiet

* Driving will be required so a good local knowledge of the area is essential.

* This role involves manual handling so candidates must be able to carry out these tasks in a safe manner.
