The Opportunity

We are currently seeking multiple skilled operatives to join an exciting new construction project near Reading. There is also the potential opportunity to work on future projects upon completion of this one.

The Roles

We are hiring for several operative positions. Below is an overview of the roles and the key requirements. All candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered:

- Must hold a valid CSCS card

- DBS check dated within the last 6 months

- Must have the right to live and work in the UK

Skilled Operative

As a Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for operating machinery and tools on site, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and accurately in line with technical specifications. Ideal candidates will possess:

- Experience in operating relevant machinery and construction tools

- Strong understanding of construction health and safety regulations

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Steel Erectors

As a Steel Erector, you will be responsible for assembling and installing structural steel frameworks for buildings and other infrastructure projects, adhering to technical drawings and safety protocols. Key requirements include:

- Experience in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and construction drawings

- Experience in welding, steel fabrication, and metalworking

- Knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations

- Ability to operate cranes and heavy lifting machinery

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Steel Fitters

As a Steel Fitter, you will be tasked with installing, aligning, and securing pre-fabricated steel components on construction sites, often using welding and fitting tools. You should have:

- Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

- Practical experience with welding and metal fabrication

- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations

- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively

- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills

Shuttering Carpenters

As a Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing formwork (temporary moulds) to support poured concrete structures until they set, ensuring accuracy to design specifications. You will have:

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans

- Experience using carpentry tools and machinery

- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and regulations

- Experience in constructing formwork for concrete structures

- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and layout
