TeamJobs is looking for a Development & Research Engine Test Technician to join our Global Engine Development (GED) team at Peterborough facility. This is a unique opportunity to work on real-world engine testing that supports over 5,000 applications worldwide - from marine to electric generators!

What You'll Do
  • Install, connect, and test engines in high-tech test cells.

  • Work closely with engineers to support engine test programs.

  • Diagnose faults on engines and test equipment.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and training initiatives.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment aligned with Caterpillar's 5S and TPM standards.

What We're Looking For
  • Mechanical diagnostic or engine testing experience.

  • A background in motor mechanics or engineering (apprenticeship ideal).

  • Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Team player with a passion for learning and technical excellence.

  • Comfortable working shifts and hands-on in a lab/testing environment.

Not Essential, But Nice to Have:
  • Engineering or motor mechanics qualification.

  • Experience in automotive maintenance or engine testing environments.
