We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our team in Llandudno Wales. The successful candidates must be flexible and able to cover all shift patterns on a planned rota basis. The client cannot be left alone. Therefore, covering colleagues annual leave and absences is required.
Pay Rate: £204.00-£216.00 per day
Working Hours:
12hr shifts from Monday-Sunday
Days 8am-8pm
Waking nights 8pm-8am
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
- Supporting Independence and continued rehabilitation
- Management of neurogenic bladder - care of urethral/ suprapubic catheter or through use of intermittent catheterisation.
- Management of neurogenic bowel - undertaking bowel care regime as defined in the care and support plan- this may include Digital Rectal Examination, Digital Rectal Stimulation, Digital Rectal removal of faeces, insertion of suppositories or enema, use of bowel irrigation system.
- Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
- Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
- Providing emotional support and companionship.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
- Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
- To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours.
- Drivers license with own car

Training & Background Checks:
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
