We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Porter with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of meals as directed by the Head or Sous Chef.
- Ensure the kitchen and all equipment are kept clean and hygienic.
- Wash and store pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility to occasionally work on Saturdays and some evenings is a requirement.
Our service includes not only breakfast, lunch, and supper but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates five (5) days a week, however, flexibility to occasionally work on Saturdays and some evenings is a requirement.

Job Description - Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
- Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Food Preparation –Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
- Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Compliance with Health and safety – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order
