Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Debt Recovery Agent on behalf of our well-established client in Rochdale.

* Location: Rochdale (OL16)

* Hours of work: #removed#, Monday to Friday

* Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience

Our client is a reputable Road Traffic Accident Management Company that have been established for over 10 years.

This role is a new role to their business, working within their Recoveries department who are responsible for dealing with motor claim settlements. This individual will manage a case load of approximately 200 repair claims, and will be responsible for the swift negotiation and settlement of client's repair charges from Insurance companies.

Duties will include:

* Negotiating with insurance companies in order to reach payment settlements

* Chasing insurers via emails, letters and telephone in order to reach settlements as quickly as possible

* Obtaining supporting documents from repairers and engineers such as reports, estimates, images, invoices etc.

* Preparing cases for litigation and instructing solicitors to act where settlement cannot be achieved

* Working closely with the Recovery Handlers within the team who will also be negotiating with the Insurers for settlement of other heads of loss.

The required traits, skills, and background:

* Credit control or cash collection experience is preferred but not essential

* Confident negotiator

* Confident communicator, both written and verbally

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

* Attention to detail and problem solving
