Junior Commercial Gas Engineer - FM Service Provider - Hatfield, Hertfordshire - £42,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance across a large commercial building in Hatfield. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

This position would be ideal for  someone looking to get into commercial gas or  in a similar position who is looking for a role close to home. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £42,000 with a potential route into further career progression. The successful candidate will have a background in plumbing, domestic gas wanting to get into commercial gas or someone with previous experience as a commercial gas engineer. Extensive experience in commercial building maintenance is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in boilers, burners and boosters.

Package & Working hours

Basic Salary of up to £42,000
Monday - Friday 08:00 am - 17:00 pm
Travel time paid other than first and last half hour
1 hour paid lunch break .
Holidays: 33 days - 25 standard with 8 stat days

Key Duties & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for delivering, services, repairs and maintenance throughout commercial properties. 
Reactive maintenance throughout client portfolio of properties
Self-delivery of smaller installations
Cover a portfolio of contracted buildings repairing and maintaining various systems.
Have the ability to diagnose and identify faults and failures within the equipment
Order and fit parts or components to the equipment when required.
Reactive and planned commercial maintenance.
Providing high level of customer service and building strong relationship
Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators (KPI) / service level agreements (SLA) are met.
Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical, mechanical and building fabric disciplines.Requirements

Ability to service and fault find on commercial gas appliances using electrical testing equipment.
Ability to use own initiative to problem solve in challenging situations.
Industry standard completed apprenticeship.
Full clean driving license
Reliable, punctual, and flexible to support the role and all members of the team.
Able to work alone under limited supervision.
Able to operate handheld electronic device.
Domestic gas qualifications - CENWAT, Gas boosters - BMP (Desirable)
Commercial Gas qualifications (Desirable)
Forced draught burner experience. (Desirable)
