Octagon Group is delighted to be working with an innovative technology business based in Oxfordshire searching for their new Financial Accountant.

The Financial Accountant will support the Finance Manager and Chief Accountant in all aspects of company finance and has specialist responsibilities in the areas of statutory accounting, certain compliance activities, accurate tax treatment, internal audit and company insurance. This will include: various submissions to government departments & accountants; and record-keeping.

You will work on a hybrid basis working from home for 3 days and from their offices in Oxfordshire for 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role:

* Statutory Audit and Accounting

* Compliance and Taxes

* Cash Management and Cashflow

* R&D Tax Credits

* Intercompany Balances

* Fixed Assets, Demo Equipment, testing Equipment & Leases Management

* Company Insurance

* Financial Policies

Key skills/experience required for the Financial Accountant:

* Educated to A-Levels or equivalent

* Qualified or studying towards an accountancy qualification or qualified y experience (QBE)

* Experience of a minimum of 2 years working within a manufacturing finance environment

* Excellent Microsoft Office experience, specifically Excel

* Knowledge of legislation and regulations required to ensure processes remain compliant
