This is an office-based role, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.30pm in the Region's Hayes office: 213 Church Road, Hayes, Middlesex UB3 2LG.

The London Region is currently seeking applications for a Support Worker to support the work of the Region's Recruitment, Organising and Campaigning agenda. This is an exciting role, where you will be responsible for assisting with the administration and support needs of the Region's officers and day-to-day work of the Hayes office, as well as working closely and collaboratively with the wider regional team, to ensure a smooth and efficient running of all regional business.

This is a dynamic role that will allow the successful candidates to be actively involved in all areas of the region's activities, including supporting the teams out on demonstrations and campaigns, and taking a leading role in handling all aspects of the office team's social media activity.

The successful candidate will:

* Possess a flexible attitude and a full range of administrative and organisational skills as outlined in the job description

* Be able to work on their own initiative to undertake duties in a professional and efficient manner

* Have an understanding of the GMB, other Trade Unions as well as commitment to the wider Trade Union and Labour Movement.

* Be a strong multi-tasker

* Be flexible and adaptable

* Possess strong IT skills

Other Information

* The successful candidates may on occasions be expected to travel to other locations in the Region in the event of absences for cover purposes.
