A well-established firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors based in Central London are seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their dynamic team. The firm has evolved to provide a comprehensive range of accountancy and tax services to a diverse clientele, including entrepreneurial start-ups, high-growth businesses, international groups, and individuals with complex tax affairs

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing corporate tax compliance and advisory services for a portfolio of clients across various industries. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a supportive and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns for a diverse client base.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with UK tax legislation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax-efficient strategies tailored to clients' specific circumstances.
  • Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients, handling inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with audit and accounts teams to ensure seamless service delivery and identify tax planning opportunities.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to clients and colleagues.
  • Support senior management in business development activities, including attending client meetings and contributing to proposals.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory within a professional services firm.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
