Our client is seeking a Handyman to join their team. The successful candidate will be required to maintain buildings and all amenities and keep them in a pristine condition with minimal disruption to the production process. The Handyman will report to the Technical Services Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains buildings and facilities including lighting, plumbing, painting, and building repairs by visual inspection and MRV system.

• Conduct monthly site inspections.

• Responsible for general building cleaning and maintenance.

• Repairs and replaces floors, stair strips and piping as needed.

• Repairs and paints doors, windows, walls, ceilings, rooves and other parts of the building.

• Ensures contractors complete tasks satisfactorily and follows up on any deficiencies for corrective action.

• Maintains waste and recycling receptacles around the facility.

• Manages the quarterly clearing of the rejects store with the assistance of casual labor.

• Assists the Tech Services department with ad hoc tasks when required.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.

• Experience installing and replacing plumbing systems.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a same or similar role.
