We have a vacancy for a Despatch Operative at our clients facility based in Melksham on a temporary to permanent basis.

The role will be treble shift, 40 hours per week. Rate of Pay is £13.85 per hour / £28,804.70PA

Ideally the candidate will have FLT experience, but we will also deliver training to the right candidate if required.

Role objectives:

* Carry out despatch duties in a safe, consistent and reliable manner

* Ensure finished goods are packed, ready for despatch and all relevant paperwork is completed correctly and available as required

* Load vehicles safely and according to instructions

* Maintain forklift is good working order and ensure daily safety checks are completed

* Operate the pallet wrapping machine

* Identify areas for improvement and put forward new ideas

* Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices

* Maintain good housekeeping

Key competencies :

* Forklift Truck License Counterbalance and Reach preferable but not essential as full training will be provided

* Work on own initiative and as part of a team

* Ability to work under pressure

* Excellent communication skills

* The ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently

* Numeracy and literacy

* Ability to work according to instructions
