Peripatetic Registered Nurse – Gloucestershire

Location: Gloucestershire
Pay Rate: £23.50 per hour
Hours: 37.5 per week
Requirement: Must be a driver with access to a vehicle

 

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Peripatetic Staff Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care across multiple care homes in Gloucestershire. This role is essential in ensuring consistent care by covering shifts due to vacancies, staff absences, or annual leave. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring and supporting nursing teams, helping to maintain best practices and high standards of care.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC registration
  • Post-registration experience with a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Strong clinical skills, including medication management and wound care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, residents, and families
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different care settings and work independently
  • Full UK driver’s license and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required
  • Flexibility to work any five out of seven days, including weekends, to meet the needs of the service

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across various care home settings
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans to ensure the best outcomes for residents
  • Mentor, support, and guide new and existing nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Work flexibly and autonomously to cover shifts as required, ensuring a seamless service for residents
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including GPs and allied health professionals, to provide holistic care
  • Uphold best practices and high standards of resident care, ensuring dignity, respect, and person-centred support
