We have a new opportunity available for an experienced Customs Team Leader, based in Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex. Due to the remote area, and limited transport links, your own transport is preferred.

This offers an annual salary of £30,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on your experience, plus benefits. Benefits include 25 days holiday which rises to 26 days with 2 years of service, and 27 days with 5 years of service, plus pension, on-site free car parking, career progression and a great working environment.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm. They are flexible for you to work 8 am to 4 pm, or 8.30 am to 4.30 pm or 9 am to 5 pm.

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Customs Data Processing Team, which is an existing team of six people with a plan to grow to ten people. Together you will be responsible for ensuring the timely clearance of import and export global shipments and managing all customer invoicing and any compliance issues. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for holding regular team meetings, ensuring all procedures are adhered to, conducting one to one's, and organising training where required.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need…

* Experience working with customs documentation.

* To have previous experience leading a small team, as a Team Leader, Senior, Supervisor or Manager.

* Proficiency in CM-UK and AEB software, CHIEF, CDS and Microsoft Office Suite would be beneficial.

* To live within a reasonable distance of Stanford-Le-Hope, Essex.
