Key Details:
  • Role: Payroll Officer - 12 month fixed term contract
  • Reports to: People Services Manager
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week- working in office during training and then hybrid/ remote thereafter
  • Location: St Ives
About the role:As the Payroll Officer, you’ll be responsible for managing payroll processes for our client, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations You’ll also play a key role in overseeing pensions and employee benefits, while supporting the Head of People Services on various exciting projects.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Processing payrolls accurately and on time
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Managing employee benefits such as pension schemes
  • Supervising and mentoring a junior team member
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in Payroll is a must!
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
  • Experience of using Sage
  • A solid understanding of pensions, employee benefits, and payroll legislation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • The ability to commute to our St. Ives, Cambridgeshire for the first 12 weeks before moving to a hybrid/ remote working pattern
