Midday Supervisor

Location: Sutton, Carlshalton
Hours: 5 days per week, 2 hours per day (Midday Shift)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Midday Supervisor to support our students during lunchtime and ensure a safe, positive, and productive environment. The Midday Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the students in the cafeteria, playground, or designated areas, promoting appropriate behaviour, and assisting with various tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and orderly environment in the cafeteria, playground, or other designated areas.
Support students with appropriate behavior expectations, including managing minor conflicts and ensuring respectful interactions.
Assist students with food distribution, cleaning up, and disposing of waste.
Monitor students for health and safety concerns, immediately reporting any issues to the appropriate staff.
Encourage positive play and social interactions during outdoor activities.
Assist staff members with any special activities or events, as directed.
Follow school policies and procedures in managing student behavior and safety.
Be proactive in identifying potential problems or hazards and take action to address them.
Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role is preferred.
Ability to handle student behavior with patience, respect, and professionalism.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
A positive and proactive attitude towards working with students.
Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and appropriately.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Work Schedule:

5 days per week (Monday to Friday).
2 hours per day, typically during the lunch period (exact hours to be determined).
