Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Officer for a Local Authority Client based in West London.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing tenancies, enforcing tenancy agreements, maintaining a strong presence on your patch, and ensuring residents receive high-quality, proactive housing services.

Key Duties:

• Manage tenancies, investigate breaches, and take appropriate action, including legal proceedings if necessary.
• Conduct estate inspections, and work closely with residents to address their concerns.
• Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and support services to assist vulnerable residents.
• Ensure estates are well-maintained, safe, and meet regulatory and tenancy standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience managing council or social housing tenancies.
• Experience handling breaches of tenancy, including ASB, subletting, and rent arrears.
• Proven ability to be visible and proactive on patch, conducting estate inspections and resident visits.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy law, and local authority policies.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and use housing management systems effectively.

What's on offer:

Salary: £21+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
