A leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy with offices nationwide is looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join their established and close-knit Fire team, yet remote team.

With 6 Fire Engineers and 6 Fire Safety Consultants, the team meets once a month for CPD sessions and a social afternoon, ensuring technical growth.

The Fire Engineer's Role

As a Fire Engineer, you'll work on a diverse range of projects across the UK, with a focus on London and the Home Counties. The majority of projects are for public sector clients, as well as new build developments.

You'll work across several fire engineering disciplines, including external wall assessments, remediation works, and fire strategy development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and delivering fire strategies tailored to specific project requirements.
Conducting external wall assessments and providing advice on remediation.
Advising clients on fire safety compliance with UK regulations, including Approved Document B and PAS 9980.
Collaborating with architects, project managers, and contractors to integrate fire safety into design and construction phases.
Supporting Fire Safety Consultants within the team on regulatory compliance and fire risk assessments where needed.

The Fire Engineer will have

A degree in Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrable experience in fire engineering design and strategy development.
Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and guidance, including Approved Document B, BS 9999, and PAS 9980.
The ability to undertake external wall assessments and provide remediation advice (desirable).
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
A collaborative approach to working as part of a team.
