Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Burton on Trent, UK
Leader Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Manager for a brand-new children's residential home in Burton on Trent. This is a new home for an established provider that has been operating for 5 years, with all existing homes rated GOOD by Ofsted. The home, a 2-bed EBD service, is currently undergoing renovation with all documents completed and ready to submit.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintain high standards of care
- Lead, support, and develop a team to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for children and young people
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring it meets regulatory and quality standards
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with legislation and best practices
- Develop and implement care plans, risk assessments, and individualised support for young people
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively
- Drive continuous improvement, ensuring the home meets or exceeds Ofsted's Good or Outstanding ratings
Requirements:- Experienced Registered Manager with history of attaining GOOD in Ofsted inspections
- Significant experience in children's residential care, with a strong understanding of EBD provisions
- A proven track record of leading and managing a children's residential service
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent, or willingness to work towards)
- Ability to demonstrate longevity in previous roles and a positive, solutions-focused approach
