We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance and Drama Teacher to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a talented individual who can inspire and educate students in the art of dance and drama, helping them develop their creative and performing arts skills. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging dance and drama lessons: Develop lesson plans that align with the curriculum and incorporate a variety of teaching methods to engage and inspire students.

Teach fundamental techniques: Instruct students in the fundamentals of dance and drama, including body movement, expression, stage presence, and improvisation.

Direct performances: Prepare students for school productions, recitals, or competitions, providing guidance on acting, choreography, and stagecraft.

Assess and monitor student progress: Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to help students reach their full potential.

Promote creativity: Encourage students to express themselves through their unique artistic talents and ideas.

Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and respect among students.

Stay current with industry trends: Keep up-to-date with developments in the dance and drama world to incorporate contemporary practices into the curriculum.

Participate in school events: Be an active participant in school functions, including open houses, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.

Collaborate with colleagues: Work collaboratively with other educators to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and ensure the holistic development of students.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Dance, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

· Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

· Proven experience in teaching dance and drama to students of various age groups.

· Strong knowledge of dance and drama techniques, history, and theory.

· Passion for the performing arts and the ability to inspire creativity in students.

· Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

· Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.

Duties:

* Plan and deliver dance and drama lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.

* Teach a variety of dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and contemporary.

* Create choreography for performances and recitals.

* Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance.

* Develop lesson plans that are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with the curriculum.

* Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

* Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events.

* Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the dance and drama industry.
