Quantity Surveyor / Estimator – £50,000 - £60,000 – Aldermaston, Berkshire

The Role

Space Interior Systems Ltd is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our Strategic Works Division. Based in Aldermaston/Tadley, this role involves occasional site visits and offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, including NEC, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

The Person

We’re looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Need to have some NEC experience
• Outfit experience
• Degree qualified within QS principle
• British passport – as we will need to do security clearances due to the nature of our clients.
• Strong estimating, cost management, and forecasting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and contract documentation preparation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Please note that you must be a British Citizen to apply for a role with us and reside with a commutable distance to Aldermaston, Berkshire.

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 10 years in order to apply for Clearance.
