Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team, covering the East Midlands region, including Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire. Our client is a leading house builder in the UK, renowned for their commitment to quality and innovation in housing development. This role involves working on both new build and social housing projects.

Key Requirements:

* Background in construction rather than housing

* Knowledge of both JCT and NEC contracts

* Support from an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS)

Responsibilities:

1. Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans

2. Conducting cost analysis and risk management

3. Overseeing procurement processes and managing subcontractor relationships

4. Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions

5. Preparing and submitting regular financial reports

6. Managing project cash flow and valuations

7. Negotiating and resolving contractual disputes

8. Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely delivery

9. Providing cost advice and financial forecasts

10. Collaborating with project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
