Intervention Teaching Assistant
Milk Education are currently supporting a a vibrant and inclusive primary school . We are currently recruiting for Interventions Teaching Assistants to work with small groups and one to one support within the primary school in the L8 area of Liverpool.
The school are committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Interventions Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team.
As an Interventions Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional help to achieve their academic and personal goals.
This is a full time position starting ASAP. Monday-Friday, 08:30am- 15:30pm. This is an on-going long term role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Support: Provide one-on-one and small group sessions to address specific learning challenges.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with classroom teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to integrate intervention strategies into the broader curriculum.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a primary school setting.
- Experience working with children with diverse learning needs.

Intervention Teaching Assistant role & responsibilities:
- Undertake programmes linked to local and national learning strategies eg. Literacy, Numeracy, EYFS/KS1/KS2 recording achievement and progress and feeding back to the teacher
- Prepare, maintain, and use equipment/resources required to meet the lesson plans/relevant learning activity and assist pupils in their use
- To work with small groups of children and to take responsibility for their learning
Non-negotiables:
- Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 in a voluntary or paid capacity
- Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) Level 1 upwards
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
