Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer (all levels) with a background in nuclearon a staffbasis, to be located in Bristol or Reading with a hybrid working model.

The role
As a Systems Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a great opportunity to play a senior role in a design team, working on new and exciting international projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Day-to-day, you'll work with the Principal Engineer and Design team, maturing system architecture, interface definition/design and producing contract engineering deliverables as well as:

* Managing interfaces and trade-offs between systems, sub systems and functions and creating optimally compliant architectures and solutions in response to customer requirements, from concepts through to in life support
* Leading the development, building, testing and trialling of solutions
* Contributing to the creation of high-quality design documentation and requirements analysis
* Participating in validation, verification, test and acceptance activities

This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites as a requirement of the role.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with four days in the office/onsite and one day working from home.

Essential experience of the Systems Engineer:
* Experience with complex systems integration
* Knowledge of Interface management; production of Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDD)
* Systems software and hardware integration experience
* Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working
* Experience with requirements capture, management, and verification and validation

Qualifications for the Systems Engineer:
* HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed
