The RoleThe school are looking for an experienced and dynamic English teacher to join our team from September. The ideal candidate will be passionate about literature and language and have a proven track record of inspiring students to achieve academic success. This role is available on a full-time basis, with consideration given to part-time applicants who can demonstrate exceptional teaching ability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Foster a love for literature and encourage critical thinking and analysis.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary level.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaborative practice.
