Triage Engineers - London Hybrid
Release & Tooling/Vendor Layer
We're looking for Triage Engineers to work within the Product Engineering team of a Global media, broadcasting and technology company. The team pride themselves on best practice, standards development, deployment, management, and operational support across the business.
One role is focussed on Release Operations including Release QA, Release Management, and Field Triage.
The other is Vendor Layer SoC Integration for Broadband and entertainment devices.
Networking skills:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and network hardware
- PPP, IPv4, IPv6, Opensync, OVS etc.
Coding:
- Shell Scripting, C/C++, Java, Go, and Python
Vendor Layer:
You'll have worked with Vendor Layer/SoC integration up to a Hardware Abstraction Layer on Entertainment and Broadband devices. Be comfortable leading feature development, delivery and technical solutions. Develop, port, maintain and support audio enhancement algorithms. Profile and optimise Audio performance and develop tools for reporting.
Key Skills:
- C, C++ programming language.
- Linux application development, POSIX, internals and media framework
- Embedded Linux platforms
- Shell Scripts. Jira/Confluence. Git/Gerrit/Yocto.
- SoC Integration experience
- IP Routers, DSL, GPON, Wi-Fi(802.11n/ac), Network Devices, VoIP, Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, PPP, DHCP, IPv4, IPv6, Opensync, OVS etc
- Solid Broadband/Set Top Box/DTV background, Broadband technologies, Embedded devices and low-level stack DOCSIS, Cable
Release & Tooling:
You'll have in depth networking expertise, have worked on QA, testing and Release Management, working closely with internal teams to find ways to improve and automate process.
Key Skills:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, hardware, diagnostics and fundamental concepts
- Wi-Fi fundamentals, basics of DOCSIS
- Shell Scripting, C/C++, Java, Go, and Python
- Linux, Embedded systems, and OS fundamentals
- Proficient in using tools like ELK and Splunk
These will be a hybrid contracts, 6 months to start, working with a Global Media Giant on a key project.
