WASTE MANAGEMENT OPERATIVE

Working in partnership with a family owned waste management company, we are recruiting for 2 hardworking Waste Management Operatives to work on the North Cave (HU15) site. This is a fantastic opportunity that offers a permanent contract with the client from week 2. £12.50 ph

PLEASE NOTE - You MUST have your own transport due to the location of this position

Shift pattern / Working hours

7am - 5pm to start Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday then going onto a rota 4 days on 4 off when perm

Start date / Duration

Waste Management Operative positions will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this. This is temp to permanent position.

Job description

• Waste Management Operatives are responsible carrying out work that can be physically demanding.
• You will be loading and unloading containers from a lorry
• Loading barrels into heating rooms and washing down equipment
• As you are working with food waste, equipment that you will be working with will often be dirty and will likely smell.
• You must adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.
• General housekeeping duties.

The successful candidate:

• Previous experience working as a labourer or Waste Operative is ideal but is not essential.
• You MUST have your own transport due to the location of this job
• Happy to work with products that may look unpleasant at times and also bad smelling
• Physically able to lift heavy loads
• Reliable with good timekeeping.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
