Join a leading UK-based technology company that specializes in cutting-edge cloud solutions for high-impact industries. We're seeking an AWS Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructure while ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy cloud solutions that meet business requirements and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to determine business requirements and translate these into cloud-based technical solutions.
• Manage and provide support for existing cloud infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities to improve/optimise existing solutions with a strong focus on cost/performance optimisation.
• Develop and maintain documentation of cloud solutions.
• Collaborating with other engineers to improve tooling, processes, and ways of working.

Required Skills:

• ⁠Knowledge of networking concepts and tools, such as DNS, routing, load balancing, VPNs and firewalls
• Experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure solutions with knowledge of security concepts
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and architecture and best practices
• Core AWS service experience required: EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, VPC’s, Transit gateways
• Additional AWS service experience: Lamba, EKS, CloudWatch
• Experience of CI/CD approaches with Python scripting, Terraform, Git/Gitlab, Windows & Linux administration

Nice to have:

• Experience of SQL scripting
• Experience of operating/managing data intensive workloads on the cloud is highly desirable (e.g. Spark, Databricks)
• Monitoring & Logging in AWS using Grafana
• SALT from the Salt project
• Cloud Query
• Working with API’s
