Team Leader - Day Shifts

Hourly Rate: £15.45 per hour

Full-time Hours (3 to 4 shifts per week) 07:00 - 19:00

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader for day shifts at our client’s care home. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, at least one year of experience in a residential or nursing home setting, and a strong understanding of Person-Centred Care Planning.

 

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of residents, promoting a safe and inclusive environment, and leading a team of care staff.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a residential/nursing home setting in a similar role
  • Awareness of the principles of Person-centred Care Planning
  • Full driving license
  • Satisfactory Care Character Assessment
  • Experience of managing a team

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
  • Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
  • Act as a role model in the delivery of person-centred care, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Participate in the development and review of care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of residents
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, appraisals, and training sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of the care team
  • Monitor and maintain comprehensive records in line with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure the holistic well-being of residents
  • Implement and adhere to safeguarding procedures to prevent and respond to abuse of vulnerable adults
  • Act as a senior point of contact for residents and their families, resolving any concerns or issues with empathy and professionalism
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations applicable to the residential or nursing home setting
